How To Make A Personalized Photo Frame For Grandma

Follow these steps to make a personalized photo frame for your grandma: prepare the materials you need, trace on scrapbook paper, make the handprints, cut out the handprints, and place the photo.

To show your love and care for your grandma on her special occasions, make sure you get her a perfect gift. Nothing beats a personalized one. Here is how you can make her a personalized photo frame:

Prepare the materials you need

To make this wonderful personalized item, gather first all the materials you need. Things to get are a 5×7 double photo frame, a decorative scrapbook paper, a pair of scissors, an ink pad, glue (preferably the stick kind), and a 4×6 photo of your choice.

Trace on the scrapbook paper

Start making the project by getting 2 similar scrapbook papers. They will serve as mats for each frame. Place the glass from one of the frames on top of each scrapbook paper and trace the edges. After tracing, use the scissors to cut out the 5×7 inch rectangles drawn on each paper.

Make the hand prints

Prepare some light colored papers like cream or ivory shades. Get your child and let him press his/her hand onto the ink pad. Ensure that a good amount of ink is imprinted in his hands. Now allow the child to press his hand onto the papers. You may need to try it on several papers and check which one is the best. After this, assist your child in cleaning up, wash his hands and wipe them dry.

Cut out the hand prints

After preparing the hand prints, cut them out. With the use of a ruler, carefully draw out a rectangle or square around the hand print and make sure that the print is in the center. Ensure that there is only enough paper surrounding the print to have a nice border. Apply carefully glue on the opposite side of the hand print. Position it centrally on one of the scrapbook papers, and press it smoothly.

Place the photo

Now get the desired photo, most preferably the photo of the child with the hand prints. Apply glue on the opposite side, then press it centrally on the other scrapbook paper. Now arrange the hand prints and photo into the frame. Your project is finished.

Present your gift to grandma with love and care. It’s always the thought that counts, and a personalized gift is one thing she would surely appreciate.

To make this possible, here are some tips you can follow the next time you plan to give a present: identify the occasion, consider the recipient, use unconventional materials, make use of various shapes, stay personal, and recycle.

Gifts come in various sizes and shapes. Some are affordable while others are more costly. However, you should not be too conscious as to the cost because it’s the thought that counts. you can make your gift even more special by presenting it in the most appealing manner. Here are some tips to wrap a simple gift so it will appear extraordinary.

Identify the occasion

The first step you need to take is to identify the occasion, whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or a baby shower. This is essential so that you will never go wrong with your choice of gift. When wrapping a present, incorporating a little hint with the type of packaging can spice up the occasion. Let’s say you have a gift for a baby shower, for example. You could add a tiny present inside a colorful bootee and sealed it with a matching ribbon.

Consider the recipient

Consider the recipient when thinking of creative ways to wrap your gift. For a book lover grandparent, you could insert a gift certificate from a bookstore inside an empty eyeglasses container. This can be a very sneaky gift idea that can add a little mystery and excitement.

Use unconventional materials

Stay away from traditional wrappers and packaging. Let your imagination and use extraordinary, yet related raw materials. Wrappers with pre-printed messages are out of the trend. Instead you could choose linens or cellophane. Replace ribbons with items like copper wires or paper twine for tying.

Make use of various shapes

Do not stick with the customary box shape that most people use to wrap their gifts. Browse the net for ample box templates such as the dome, icicle, and flat holders. These will make your celebrations more fancy and fun.

Stay personal

Customization still leads the crafts and designs industries. Receiving highly personalized items offers unexplainable feelings of appreciation because of the effort put forth. Adding names or utilizing previous presents as part of the gift package is a good way to give a personal touch.

Recycle

If you have pieces of cut out fabrics, you may use them for wrapping your precious present. If not, you may collect empty jars or containers and transform these into glass cases.

Your creativity is a helpful tool when creating a new wrapping idea. Let that creativity flow freely in order to come up with a matchless design.

Why The Luminox Watches Became So Famous in Watch Industry

Luminox watches are known by the self-powered illumination system that’s’s totally unique to them, and certain to last for at least ten years. To include this facility, Luminox watches bear further manufacturing steps that no other watches in the world do. The history of Luminox is closely tied to this outstanding feature of its watches.

Richard Timbo and Barry Cohen, 2 business buddies who knew each other thru their career as sales members, were attempting to find creating a market thru branded products or exclusive technology that would place a barrier on competition. They found the Swiss company RMBG, which had a totally unique illumination technology, and endorsed this technology be joined into Swiss watches, and got sole rights for the employment of the technology in Northern America.

The new design watches, which were at first promoted using the handle of the Swiss company, was immediately re-christened Luminox, a name highly suggestive of its unique illumination capacities that had been derived from the Latin roots Lumi, meaning light, and nox meaning night.

The unknown kind of watches was still attempting to make a mark in acompetitive market that laid wonderful value by brand, when it turned into a break in the shape of a call from a US navy buying officer. In 1993 the company received an invite from the purchasing officer of the US Navy SEAL groups to provide it with a designed specifically range of watches. The US navy’s Sea, Air and Land ( SEAL ) groups required a dive watch to be used on their night missions.

Luminox took up the challenge and worked with its Swiss partner for nine months before coming out with the 1st Navy SEAL watch in 1994. This was aturning point in the history of Luminox watches. The mark of approval given by the SEAL improved the trustworthiness of the brand and boosted its image in the market. Duty for the watches started to grow. The company started selling its plastic model Luminox watches.

After selling many thousands of its plastic model watches for 5 years, the company introduced the 1st steel version, with carbon fiber bezel, in 1999. The steel version of the SEAL dive watches was a fast success. From this, it was clear to the makers that if they could make the watches in bigger varieties and numbers, the market would absorb them. This spurred the company on to a growth drive and the will to introduce new models.

In the autumn of 2 thousand, the company came out with an all steel series and an all titanium series. The new launches were again met up with emphatic success, as the market gobbled up both the products. These series incorporated features that are found in what are thought to be fine watches, and included ten year lithium batteries, sapphire glass crystals and anti reflective coating.

The company also developed a new version that was centered at special purchasers adding freshness to its range. If the call from the US navy was a big point in the history of Luminox watches, the Air force was not to lag far behind. The company got a call in 1999 from the Edwards Air Force base informing them that they liked the watches produced by them, and need to have a version to be used during their bombing missions.

The obligation was to develop something particularly for them, and not to provide or conform the version that was supplied to the Navy. This gave rise to a collection of watches that was designed to be utilized by F-117 Nighthawk stealth pilots.

Luminox after acquired rights to develop watches for the unique necessities of aviation industry. So was born another range of watches in the Luminox group. The company is now working on plans for new ranges of watches for meeting both the prerequisites of the Navy and the Air Force, and is also taking many measures to keep and consolidate its hold in the retail market.

New Moon - The Motion Picture, Mania And Merchandise

New Moon, the second in the series of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga to arrive on the big screen, has had something of a bumpy ride getting here. Initial up there was the difficulty of Edward Cullen, played in the flicks by heart-throb Robert Pattinson, and therefore the limited quantity of time he’s actually in the second book, and then there was the difficulty of the lawsuit filed by an recent college area-mate of Meyer’s, who claimed alleged plagiarism against the author of Twilight.

The cast and crew soldiered on though, and the end result of their labors has rapidly become an enormously big hit all over the planet. Edward is seen throughout the movie in a way which could seem a little cheesy, but then, this is often the Twilight line, and cheese isn’t any stranger to it. That said, the movie has been obtaining abundant better reviews than the first entry in the range, which was not welcomed by many critics and criticized for some of the somewhat uneasy aspects of the relationship concerning a century-old vampire and a teenage girl.

It would seem that the makers of the Twilight films over at Summit Entertainment listened to the practical criticism of some reviews (and ignored the rants of those that disliked it) and have produced a much better movie now round. Their paid off, and predictions of the movie being a huge hit have been confirmed to be spot on. Fans have been rushing to see it, and therefore the New Moon goods scene is awash withnovel items for fans to collect.

The series of New Moon goods appears a little classier than previous efforts for franchises such as Harry Potter, as the books that every one of this comes from are geared toward a completely different demographic; namely kids in their early to mid teens, instead of children upwards. This can be why some aspects of the merchandising, such as the Twilight and New Moon duplicate jewellery, is proving to be such a robust seller.

It is also interesting that alternative New Moon goods items like posters, calendars, bookmarks and others of their type are therefore widespread with fans, together with special editions of the books themselves, as this is often rather completely different to the way that things usually escort movie goods.

The special editions of the Twilight novels are literally seen as collector’s items to many fans, with these Twilight special editions staying untouched on shelves or still in packaging while their well-thumbed paperbacks are often enjoyed. The audience is thrilled with the newest movie, while many critics are once more pulling it apart. That is an indication of something with a very robust fanbase indeed, and it can actually continue when ‘Eclipse’, the third Twilight movie in the collection, arrives.
